Who We Are
-
JAM Network was born from a simple question: How can we follow the music we love while supporting the values we live by? Our founder, Kara, realized that touring the country often meant spending time and money in places where local policies didn't align with her commitment to social justice.
We believe every tour stop is an opportunity for progress. By connecting fans with local grassroots organizations, JAM Network transforms the live music experience into a powerful engine for community impact and social change.
-
We mainly fundraise for third-party organizations in the communities we visit on tour. The tours we primarily focus on are Goose and Phish, but anticipate to grow to following The Disco Biscuits, JRAD, and Billy Strings.
Note: We are not affiliated with any of the bands, rather we are fan-run organization leveraging our community for social impact.

Joyful Action and Generosity: We honor the music and community that bring us together, channeling the scene's vibrant energy and culture of mutual support into sustained, positive impact for frontline social justice movements.
Catalytic Connection: We believe every show, festival, and tour stop is an opportunity to connect fans, artists, and venues with justice work, turning cultural moments into measurable, city-by-city action.
Radical Welcome and Safe Space: We are committed to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and affirmed, ensuring our work and partnerships actively defend dignity and safety for all people.
Local Impact, National Scale: We leverage the mobility of the jam band community to channel time, money, and attention directly to grassroots organizations, linking local needs to a national network of support.
Freedom of Movement and Dignity: We affirm that travel is political and that all humans are not illegal. We are committed to supporting the rights and dignity of all people, including migrants, refugees, and those navigating borders, and we oppose all forms of systemic discrimination and dehumanization.
Love is Love: We operate from the principle that love is love, advocating for the full safety, inclusion, and equal rights of all people, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community, in our work, partnerships, and community culture.
Reproductive Autonomy as Essential Care: We stand on the value that abortion is healthcare. Everyone deserves the fundamental freedom to make decisions about their own body and future, and we actively support movements that protect and expand comprehensive, stigma-free reproductive care for all people.
Climate Action is Urgent and Just: We believe climate change is real and is a critical justice issue, committing to supporting environmental justice and science-based solutions that protect vulnerable communities and the planet.
